98: The Gitchie Manitou Campfire Killings | USA

A shooting at an isolated nature spot on a cool November night in 1973, was something, straight out of a horror film.
On the night of 17 November 1973, five teenage friends went to the Gitchie Manitou Preserve to hang out by a campfire. They were playing the guitar and singing along, passing around a joint. In the dark of the night, they heard something in the trees… What followed seemed to be a scene straight out of a horror film. By the end of the night, four of them were dead. One survived to tell the tale of what happened.
