155: The Killing of Birna Brjánsdóttir | Iceland

A week after a young Reykjavik woman vanished, her body washed up on a beach. CCTV footage eventually led police to her killer.
On Friday the 13th of January 2017, 20-year-old Birna Brjánsdóttir went out to a nightclub in downtown Reykjavik. She left in the early morning hours of Saturday but never made it home. 8 days later, her body washed up on a beach. CCTV footage showed Birna’s last moments, as she disappeared in the car of an unknown person.
